Society charging me legal fees for case filed by BMC against society

In my housing society in Dahisar, a flat below my floor had filed a case against me for leakage in their home. This case was won by me, but the BMC had also filed a case against my society which caused the society to incur legal charges. Now, the society is asking me to pay for this charges. Am I liable to pay? They have included this charges in maintenance bill also.

Since The case was filed against the society they are obligated to incur the expenses, not you as an individual. You won the case which was filed against you.

The case filed against the society demands the performance from the society as a whole, not an individual. You are not liable to pay for these expenses.
