I am 20 years old and have left my house with only my personal belongings because of mental frustration and my parents are upset regarding that and are threatening they would do anything to bring me back to house,my question is can they file a case regarding me ? Because I havent stolen anything nor have I dealt any damage to them,I am living on my own money,so will the police entertain them ?

A.Hi,
Since you have attained majority you are legally entitled to take any decisions regarding your life. Even if a false case is filed you will only have to convince the police regrading your reluctance to go back to your house. The police cannot under any circumstances force you to go back home.

A.Hi,
You have the legal right to make any life choices now that you have reached the age of majority. And if a false report is filed, you will just have to persuade the police of your unwillingness to return to your home, under no conditions can the police compel you to return home.

A.You are major so you can decide your future and can take decision regarding your life. Though your parents can file police complaint but they cannot succeed if you does not wish to join them. Police cannot force you to live with parents against your wishes.

A.since you are above 18, police can not force you to go back.
But your parents can definitely file theft FIR then both of you have to fight in court.

A.Hi

I am not aware about what happened but one thing i am sure that your parents are still love you and have worry about you as they are exploring every option to bring you back as you said.
In terms of numbers you are 18+ and under the category of major and forcefully, no one can do any thing to bring you back.
