My father rented a shop in my house. But now my father died suddenly in Corona. Can I sign a new contract with a Tenant.

A.Hi,
If you are the sole heir you should change the khata changed to your name from your father's. Then you can enter into a contract with the tenant in interest of the property you inherited from your father.

A.if the house belongs to you then you can sign a new contract with a Tenant.
But if there are other legal heirs then they also have right.

A.Only the owner of the rented premises can execute an agreement with the tenant. (i.e., only if you are the property owner (the property documents should reflect your name).
