What should I do as tenet has not paid water bills from several months and now refusing to pay rent also and not even ready to vacate the house. Should I cut the connection? How much a lawyer cost if I file a case?

A.Straight away get the tenant evicted from the house if he's not paying rent or cut that very much amount from his fixed deposit if he has provided any. Getting the water connection cut is fine but keep in mind that in the future if you need to connect the same it will be tedious procedure. Else you may send a legal notice to the tenant and if he doesn't comply you may file a case. Lawyer's fees will depend on the lawyer you hire for your case.

I hope you found this advice helpful then please provide review and give*****. Thank you.

A.Hi,
When a tenant fails to pay their rent or vacates the property as per the agreement a problem occurs. You may serve a legal notice for non-compliance with the tenancy agreement, as well as claim for unpaid rent. In this case, you have the legal right to keep the security deposit. Also, serve him with an eviction notice. You can file an eviction suit if he does not comply with the legal notices.

You can send him a legal notice for eviction from your house and can ask him to pay the rent and other bills. You can keep his security to cover up the rent amount. You can file a civil suit against him if he didn't comply to the notice.
