Tenant not paying balance rent Tenant not paying balance rent

Sir my name is harender singh. I had given my house on rent to Mr. Vikram Yadav on rent. He had not paid the rent of my house for last 3 months as well as electricity bill also so i asked him to leave the house as soon as possible. I evicted him from my house in the month of march and he gave me his honda activa scooty as a guarantee that he will repay the balace rent but its been more then 2 months he didn't paid me the remaining amount of 17000INR. Even after signing on a stamp paper now he is not fullfilling his words. Now when i call him for the remaining amount he starts to misbehave with me on phone calls.

A.File suit for recovery of pending rent. Retaining scooty in such manner is not justified.

A.Hey,
You can take help of an advocate as rent and tenancy laws are different for different state and that advocate can also draft legal notice for not fulfilling his commitment of paying the remaining amount. ADR is another method that could be useful to you.

A.Hi
Rent laws differ from state to sate. Send him the legal notice asking him to fulfill his words and commitments. You can also file a civil suit against him and claim compensation. Further you can also move to ADR mechanism.
