A.Hi,
You can try and settle the matter through consensus or if you feel that your neighbor is being callous then you may send them a legal notice. You can always keep it in consideration if matters escalate then you may file a civil suit before the court of civil judge or lodge a police complaint u/S 269 IPC for the offence of nuisance.

A.Hi,
The first step is to try and solve the dispute amicably with your neighbors. If they do not pay any heed to your issues then consider sending them a legal notice through a lawyer highlighting the fact that they are causing private nuisance. If matters escalate, then you may file a civil case against them before the court of a civil judge.

A.Is the noise intentional ?
or its normal kitchen cooking noise ?

You start and try by sending legal notice with help of lawyer.
Maybe it will solve.
Else If its intentional then you can file case for nuisance.
police will not do much saying its civil case.

A.Hello,

It seems that your neighbors doing 'harassment through nuisance' by making lots of noise. This type of nuisance is defined in Section 268 of IPC, which says "A person is guilty of a public nuisance who does any act or is guilty of an illegal omission which causes any common injury, danger or annoyance to the public or to the people in general who dwell or occupy property in the vicinity, or which must necessarily cause injury, obstruction, danger or annoyance to persons who may have occasion to use any public right. A common nuisance is not excused on the ground that it causes some convenience or advantage."

You can call the police by just dialing 100 no. and when they will reach the spot you should be having sufficient proof to prove the nuisance done by neighbors.
or
you can also file an application under Section 268 of IPC in the court of magistrate.

Thanks with best regards

A.There is a category of law called LAW OF TORTS, which deals with such kinds of issues and you can file a case in a civil court under law of torts asking your neighbour to stop troubling you. Consult a lawyer but before that try to talk to your neighbour and try too settle it amicably.
