Bank employee and manager asking for bribe Bank employee and manager asking for bribe

Hello sir/madam,
My economic condition is weak and parents are unemployed because of lockdown situation. Before that my parents income was near about 7000 per month. We applied education loan from bank of 500000 for 5 years for studies of my sister. Because we are unable to pay her college fees. There was an employee of bank who is neighbor of ours. He guided us about procedure of getting education loan. We followed procedure then after passing the loan, he is asking for bribe. He is asking for 10000 and he is telling 2 reasons
1. "loan could not have been passed without me" .
2. "Bank manager asked him for money because he passed loan".

Can you please help me with that issue.

A.It is necessary to give immediate complaint letter to the Branch Head of that particular branch of the bank where that employee works as well as sending copy thereof to the Chief Vigilance Officer( particulars whereof you will get from online). You can lodge online complaint also through the website of that Bank.
Complaints can be lodged by addressing the written communication/ letter directly to the Central Vigilance Commission or through www.portal.cvc.gov.in or through the Commission’s website www.cvc.gov.in under the link “Lodge Complaint” on home page. Complaints sent through written communication/letter should contain complete postal address (mobile/ telephone number, if any) of the sender with specific details/information of the matter. Central Vigilance Commission through Chief Vigilance Officer will investigate that issue of corruption .

The Prevention of Corruption Act is not only applicable to public servants but also to private sectors. Any such person enticing bribery can be charged u/S 13(2) of the Act. He shall be further liable for offences u/S 420 and 471 of IPC. But before you file any police complaint, register a complaint at the office of Banking Ombudsman of your jurisdiction.
