Getting verdict even after death of appellant?

Without informing the court about the death of the appellant, can his lawyer get the verdict in the name of the deceased person? Is it not tantamount to cheating the court?

A.Hi,
You should inform the court with the true and correct facts. If incorrect information is given, the court can initiate contempt proceedings against the defaulting parties.

A.Hi,
It would amount to cheating and contempt of court. Such information should be provided to the court at the earliest. Certain cases ends with the death of the appellant, whereas some cases are unaffected by the death of the appellant. Court needs to be informed.

A.You should provide the complete fact of the case to have full fledged answer otherwise you will receive a half baked answer from lawyers. There are certain cases like divorce which ends with the death of the litigants and there are certain cases like PIL or criminal case which can go on even after the death of the litigant or the party.
So, you have to find out the real nature of your case before you go to decide whether there was cheating or not.
