Exit permit issue

I applied for exit permit in frro Delhi however my application has been closed several times without mentioning any reason. I have visited the office physically and get to know that my application has been moved to higher authority IM cells.I enquired for the time to get update , officer told me that it’s up to the authority.My travel document is expiring, and I have to leave early. What does IM cells meaning ? What is the legal way to get the decision earlier?

A.Hi,
It is perhaps in your best interest that your application has been moved to the higher authority. This should mean that your application is in its due process of completion. However, you my contact the office again to retrieve some kind of contact details so as to track your application.

A.Hi,
There is no legal fast track method per se to get your exit permit. You can ask the preceding authority to send you any contact detail through which you can query about your application.

A.Not so sure either but I guess it stands for Immigration Monitoring Cell and they would be vetting your movement out of the country during this time of pandemic. Please visit and ask them for specific email id or phone no. to contact so that you can directly seek information from them.
