A.You are correct to some extent and if you are innocent then the investigation agency, the police will come to know about it and they will close the case by submitting the FRT- Full and final report to the court instead of chargesheet. Yes you may have to face little hassles but then the case will be closed.

In case the police is not able to close the case then you will have to prove your innocence in the court.

A.Hi,
It is actually contrary to that. The presumption of innocence imposes on the prosecution the burden of proving the charge and guarantees that no guilt can be presumed until the charge has been proved beyond reasonable doubt.
