My father aged about 74 years of age lived here in Andhra pradesh now Telangana has 4 daughters and myself aged 43 and wife(father's) aged 70 all at the time of my fathers death. My 4 sisters are married before 1996. I have 2 daughters and 1 son aged 13,11 and 9 respectively. I joined in govt service in 1983(AP state govt.) My father retired in 1992 as he self acquired 4 plots and a house wherein we are living here since 1960.
I built a house in one of the plots with my earnings. My earnings(since 1983) and the rent from the above said building were all used for the house maintenance and also for my sisters marriages. My sisters are asking 1/6th of all the above said property
Q 1. How are we supposed to share these properties amongst us.
Q 2. Are the grandchildren(w.r.t my father) legal heirs along with children(w.r.t my father)

A.If property is ancestral then your sisters are legal heirs by birth. But as you said that property are self acquired then it depends on the wish and will of the owner of property. But your self acquired property is only yours.no one can claim on it.dont worry about your property right. If you want any further legal assistance then consult with any lawyer.
