A.Hello
According to the Hindu Law, properties can be classified into two types: an ancestral property and a self acquired property. The self-accquired and undivided property of a person's great great grandfather becomes an ancestral property. All the legal heirs have equal share in the ancestral property. Your father could give self accquired property solely to his son but cannot give the ancestral property. You could claim your share in the ancestral property.

A.Hello Sir
No the ancestral property cannot be solely to one son. All the Legal heirs have equal rights in ancestral property and could claim the same. So the property cannot solely given to one son it must be divided among all the legal heirs.
Thanks.

A.A property is considered ancestral if it remains unpartitioned for last four lineage and if the property is ancestral then no legal heir and heiress can be deprived of that. However,if the father got that property through family partition, then his property will become self acquired and then the father can transfer it in registered manner to any body.

Until and unless the entire fact of the case be specified, it becomes difficult to give proper legal opinion.
