one of my friends took the contact no of a girl of my college & abused her for no reason . what are the legal actions she can take against me & my friend???

A.Since the offense has been committed by your friend and there is no concept of vicarious liability in criminal matters therefore unless you had the intention of getting the girl harassed is proved you would not be liable for any penal action although there is no bar in filing appropriate case of criminal conspiracy against you if the collusion is primarily made out. Coming to your friend he can be charged under the sections relating to criminal intimidation and also under the act with intent to outrage the modesty of an women and also attempt for both the offense as also offenses under the IT act.
