please advice on procedure to make a police complaint against an accused when there is already an active police complaint against same accused

A.Hello Sir
You could file a complaint against the accused in the police station. You could initiate it with filing an FIR. Just make sure while filing you don't file a complaint for the same offence or same cause of action for which the earlier complaint was made. Double complaints for the same offence could be easily quashed by the high court.

A.Hello Sir
You cannot file a complaint against a person twice for same cause of action. If the cause of action is different then you could surely report an FIR in the nearest police station against the person.

A.Dear Sir,

You should visit the police station where the offence has happened and file the written complaint complaint against the accused. The police officer will put the stamp on the said complaint made by you and give you the diary number and also give you the additional copy of the complaint which can be later used by you to show the proof of complaint.
