Friend turned against me and now she claims 54000rs she has lent to me!

My female best friend has broken up our friendship and is now putting complain in police station. She has claimed that she gave me 54000rs in cash. Due to her harassing calls I might have in stress agreed to give 54000 and she made the recording of that call conversation. Now I am not sure whether I accepted or not in the call but now she is threatening me through FIR lodging that she has audio recordings. But one thing is for sure I never accepted that I took cash from her. My bank statement proves that she has to return 13000 approx to me. What can I do in this case? None of the police officers are listening to me!

There must be some proof of the payment of ₹54000 made to you in order to claim the same from you. As per the information provided by there is no evidence which shows that you have taken loan from her. There is no way you are liable to pay her the money. She is just threatening to extrort money, let her prooced with filing a FIR, there is nothing you need to worry about.

A.Has she already lodged the complaint to police and has the police already registered the case? If yes then you don't do anything and let the police make the case formal and file a chargesheet in the court. My thinking is that the police will not do that as there are no good evidence against you to implicate you. So. you can just ignore this and move on. In case the police calls you then just ask them to send Notice under Section 41 of CrPC and then go to meet them along with a lawyer.
