I have received a call from unknown number in 2020 January mentioning all of my credit card details, I have mistakenly given the OTP to the person and I have scammed of 25000 in my credit card. As it was pandemic period I have gone to the police station and gave a complaint but they have refused to take as fIR and written in a paper with a seal. I have submitted the original to the nearest Axis Bank branch in Pune. I was not paying any money to the credit card till now. And my cibil score has affected so much, I need to recover from this situation, I'm frequently getting calls and threatening. I'm ready to pay the principal amount also but I don't know how to start. Please some one help me legally how to proceed

A.Dear Sir,
You may approach Cyber Police Station and also banking ombudsman as many Banks not co-operating the customers in such circumstances.

A.Hi,
In such cases, the first step is to file an FIR in the police station and then they will forward the complaint to the cyber cell department. The bank does not take accountability and will only try to claim back their money. If you are reporting a crime and the police denies to register your FIR on any unreasonable grounds, you can make a complaint to a higher ranking officer. If the Police still deny lodging your FIR, you can make a formal complaint to the nearest judicial magistrate, who will direct the police to register the FIR if deemed necessary.
Thank you.
