Debt not paid back Debt not paid back

Hi Sir/Madam, I lended my money 20k in the name of trust(belief) to a person with out any collateral in the month of July as he mentioned that he will pay me back within a month. Now, its been 4 months, but wasn't paid. I did this using phonepe and have some messages as a proof. I approached police, they called him asked for the same. He mentioned he will clear the debt before 12th of November and police has taken written statement from that person. If it is not paid, what action I can take in the future?

He is working as a Linemen in power office, his wife working as Nurse in private hospital.

Please suggest, it's my hard earned money.

A.Dear client,
If he does not pay it back by 12th November, you may bring about legal action against him to get back your money. Since you have proof of the transaction and have already approached the police, you can file a case against him as your next step.
Thank you.
