I was being fined for not wearing a mask by the BMC marshals on the beach. I protested and showed them an RTI appeal addressed to Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, which said it was not mandatory to wear a mask but it is advised to , and then he let me go without any fine. how can this be challenged ? How can the BMC impose fine on will?

A.Dear Client,
They did not charged you with any fine but yes you can file a PIL. You can file a writ petition in High Court under Article 227 of issuing Writ to stop the public employee not to overstep their authority.
Thank You.
