Not serving notice period Not serving notice period

Sir I joined on O1-Oct-2020 and my reporting manager and senior manager were expecting me to work more then 18 hours, I could not take care of my kids and my child felt sick in corona pandemic, doctor suggested me to take care of my child. I requested on 5th day that i cannot work more then 10 hours but the practice did not change i informed to higher executive and HR. Finally after 15 days, on 15-Oct-2020 i resigned and return all the asset on the same day. After 1 year i got a legal notice to pay 3 month salary to company with 15% interest where as i did not get any training nor any salary rather i contributed my expertise for the given assignment. Looking for your valuable suggestion on the same.

A.Dear Client,

You must serve the notice period, or they will demand payment of the amount agreed upon when you joined the company. Yes, you can dispute their legal notice by claiming that you did not receive any training or compensation, but the clause still stands because you signed and consented to it.

Thank you!

A.Was there any clause which said that you will have to pay them in case you resign without serving the notice period. If yes then you are supposed to serve the notice period else they will ask you to pay the amount as agreed by you while joining the company. Yes you can counter their legal notice stating that you did not get any training or salary but still the clause holds good as you have signed and agreed for the same.
