question iconCompany Name Changing

I am incorporated my company name as Agronize technologies Pvt ltd. Under this name, we are dealing with services(agritech mobile application) only. Now we are expanding our business in products(organic and bio) as well. We are not manufacturers, marketed products under my brand Agronize. Should I need to change the company name?

A.Dear Client,
If you change your core products or services, or if you enter an entirely new industry, you may need to consider a new name – especially if your brand specifically mentions the work you do. If this is the case, your name may be an obstacle as you seek to enter a new market. The Company post incorporation can change its name under the following circumstances:
(a) Conversion of name from private to public, or
(b) Conversion of name from public to private, or
(c) Change of name from ABC limited to XYZ limited.
(d) Any other mode of restructuring as permitted under Companies Act.
Since, you have introduced new products it is suitable to change the name accordingly.

Thanks.

A.Dear Sir,
You do not need to change the name of the company but what you need is to change the MoA and AoA of the company with the help of a Company Secretary and update the same with MCA wherein your business activities will be updated and you can carry on those businesses.
