The property is in the name of mother, however, the buliding taxes are paid and is in the name of grandmother who is no longer there. Can I know how can my mom transfer the ownership of building to myself?
A.Dear Sir,
Your Mom can execute a gift deed are release deed in your favour and thus you will become absolute owner of the property. On the basis of such deed you can change all the records in your name in all the concerned offices.

A.Dear Client,
You apply to the sub-registar for the transfer of ownership, if required you can also apply for a legal heir certificate. If any problem arises in the process you can file a civil suit for declaration of title.
Thank you

A.To give opinion, it is necessary to know how the property devolved upon your mother. Whether she is the only legal heiress of your grandmother or is there any registered transfer Deed in favour of your mother? Supportive documents in this context are required to be submitted before the Statutory Authority to substitute the name in the Record of Rights.

A.Dear Client
First of all try to get the mutation done in your mother's name and that will allow you to have all the tax receipts in your mother's name. After that your mother can make a gift deed in your name which will be required to be registered.
