Electricity wire passing through my balcony

Electricity pole which is situated next to my neighbour's house it's wire passes through my balcony even though my whole house is constructed within our land. I wrote an application that kindly put a clamp or any support so that it should be away from our balcony but the JE said that how did you constructed your house even when electricity wire was passing from there. I told them that it's coming inside my property so he was like we will check what's the situation and if we have to add something or move the pole you have to bear the whole cost. So, I just wanted to know why should I bear the cost of the wire is passing through my property and what can I do to get it done without paying the charges.
As per the facts mentioned, you can talk to the electricity department or send a legal notice. If then also nothing is done then you can approach the higher authority.
You may approach Electricity Ombudsman or approach higher authorities or approach High Court.

Once you have written letter to the electricity department then its their duty to ensure that the wires are properly removed from your balcony. If they don't do it then file a case in the High Court against the inactivity if the department.
