Is it legal to forge someone's signature with their consent

Some one filed a WP against me in High Court. But the name of the person didn't sign on that document. It's Clearly Shown Because the name of the person who filed a WP he was illiterate. But in the documents signature mentioned in English. I think he was gave permission to his sign for others. Is it legal or Illegal.

Forging a signature with or without consent is illegal and that is not to be allowed for nay purpose. If the person is illegal then he will have to put his thumb impression and somebody else should not put his signature.

Forging a signature is a form of false impersonification and a designated crime under the Indian Penal Code, hence the person forges the signature is always at risk since the person whose signature has been forged, can always file a complaint for the aforesaid offence by suppressing his earlier consent to that effect.
