Land grabbing Land grabbing

My mom had purchased a land in 1990 for which she lost the original documents for. They got a true copy from the registration office but did not give a paper notice or police complaint at that time.Recently we discovered that someone had forged her signature and thumb print and registered it on their name with original documents. Even the picture is not my mom's and when we contacted the police and filed a fraud case, and planted the board in the plot with my moms name. the other party filed a case on my mom that she forcefully occupied the land. It's been over a year and the case is not going anywhere, we already spent a lot on lawyers fee, my mom worked hard her entire life and it is her hard earned money, please advise on how we can get justice as soon as possible.

You have already initiated the cases both criminal and civil so let the ases take its own journey.
The civil case will take some time to come to conclusion but you can request the police to hasten the criminal case.

A.Dear Client
If a fraudster tries to establish his rights over a property, it becomes important to lodge a complaint on grounds of impersonation. It would also be appropriate to write to the inspector-general of registration and the sub-registrar and bring the matter to their notice. It is a cognizable offence for which you have to lodge complaint with police. If police does not register FIR you can file case in the court of Magistrate u/s 156(3) crpc. It is advisable to have three documents, two with signatures of same person, which are genuine and match. Third document alleged forged signature of person who signed on document one and two mentioned earlier.
Thanks
