Contractor Took Advance Payment and now he is not Doing His Work Contractor Took Advance Payment and now he is not Doing His Work

I hired the Contractor (Thekedar) in June 2020. Last Finishing Work Regarding his Contract is left (Flooring and Plaster and Other Small Work). Its Been more than a month, He is Not Starting that work (After Going to his Home And Asking Him to Start Continously for a Work). Like He say their are No Workers Available or He is having Medical Crisis in Home. He took Payment in advance also (Many of The Workers he Hired are Not Paid in Full) . If I take a Legal Action against him how to do it ? Should I have to go to police or Sue Him. Also I had made a Legal Contract before starting the work. If I hire another Contractor to finish that work can he Take a legal action against me ?

A.Dear Client,

As per the facts which have been provided, if there is a Legal Contract between you and the Contractor and the period within which the work will be completed has been stated in that then you can file a case against the Contractor.

Hope this clarifies your query and requirement.

Thank you.
