Delivery delay - I am working in chicken processing unit

Sir,
Im working in chicken processing unit. For our customer request the chicken product from palani (Tamil nadu) to Haryana so, we sent the product through DTDC courier. and before that i ask to the DTDC employee, they told when shipment sent through air it will take around two days, or road shipment its took 4more days. so choose air shipment. and booked 2 consignment cast 6400 and also product cost 5300, booking/shipment date 07.05.2022 then product reached 13.05.2022. now costumer contact me and told the product got spoiled. due to late delivery. i have invoice and tracking report from official website.
I spend this cast only the fast delivery, but now delay the delivery and product spoiled. if can i get refund the amount legally. kindly give your suggestions.
You may get issue a legal notice and file a complaint before Consumer Court claiming huge compensation for mental torture and also on other grounds of negligence.
