Iam senior Citigen. One day a person came by car stating that he is working in HDFC bank as manager. He made me to believe his words. He paid partial security deposit of ₹25000 and occupied my new house. The security deposit agreed by him is ₹120000.After a month he paid ₹50000. He also paid one month rent of ₹12000 upon reminding. The agreed date is 10 th of each month. He also paid second month rent of ₹12000 upon repeated request. He paid on 15th instead of 10th. I am requesting repeatedly to pay balance security deposit of ₹45,000 and third month rent. It is 20th day of month and he is not responding. He does not pick phone and does not answer to messages. He has not signed rent agreement yet. It is found that he is not a manager at HDFC bank. He opened office for fecilitating loan, insurance etc. His display board has words like builder and land developer. He comes late in night to his house and leaves early. It is difficult for me to personally meet him. What shall I do now.please guide. I have call history and message /whats app messages sent to him.

A.Dear Client,
As per the law in the absence of a rent agreement, it is considered that it is a month-on-month lease. This means that the owner has the right to serve notice to the tenant to vacate the property within a period of 15 days. If the property is in use for commercial purposes and the tenant may ask to stay in the property for 4 months from the date the tenant receives the vacating notice.

A.Dear Client
You should not have let out the house without signing and executing a rent or lease agreement with that person. You need to catch hold of him and get the rental agreement signed so that you can evade more problems later on.
