My mother and My brother was assaulted

My mother and My brother was assaulted by known person on April 27 2022,My mother Bone got cracked at left hand wrist, and Two stitches made for my brother on his head.We registered complaint on local police station on that day itself and my mother Admitted at government hospital for treatment(AR number registered). On the next day That person who assaulted my mother registered the complaint and he admitted to hospital fakely by stating he got injured. On May 5th police investigated and told my mother that give your consent to file FIR by tomorrow to inspector. On next day we went and Inspector told we will call you later on. Then they didn’t called us and Police personals supporting the opposite person. I checked the CSR status online The complaint was closed without our knowledge (Reasons mentioned is Compromise effected). Kindly suggest what we can do further to take action on that person.
You may go to higher police officers or file a private complaint with available medical records thus proceed against that person.
