Domestic violence-I filed police complaint Domestic violence-I filed police complaint

I filed police complaint by June 2020 as i was attempted to murder attack by my husband and his mother as I refused to sell my jewels to repay his debts and for not tolerating his behaviour of sleeping with prostitutes often in the meanwhile my husband filed for divorce in Bangalore but me and husband permanent resident of chennai. So we applied for transfer and got stay order . Police asked 2 lakhs to file fir but we refused as we have all proof of audio and video conversion so we wanted to proceed fairly . bcs of COVID and limited availability of judges it took long to file dv case in my correct jurisdiction and dv case was filed in my jurisdiction by April 2022 . Dv case goes here for 8 hearings he did not appear but he made appeal on my transfer petion of divorce case filed by my husband in Bangalore and supreme court arranged for video conferencing now for mediation process. But he had made the appeal to escape from dv case filed in chennai. Recently i saw the status as - next hearing date not updated as case status in dv case . Will i get transfer of his divorce case filed in Bangalore despite both our permanent address in chennai which was filed by him after my police complaint ? Why is my dv case status showing as next hearing date not updated. I need justice as he cheated me and abused me physically mentally lots of tortures as they are rich . Already they bribed inside court for not filing police fir and in court for not getting dv case filed the clerk got suspended now but dv case filed .

A.Dear client,
A number of times an update to the next hearing date is not available but the case is still pending. You may have to wait for the date to be updated and the same will be reflected whenever it is available.

Section 19 of the Hindu Marriage Act provides for the Court to which petition under this Act shall be presented. Every petition under the Act shall be filed with the District Court(family court) within the local limits of whose ordinary civil jurisdiction:
1. The Marriage was solemnized, or
2. The respondent at the time of the presentation of the petition resides, or
3. The parties to the marriage last resided together.

And as you have already gotten it transferred to chennai, it won't be transferred unless you file another application for transfer.
