POCSO - Two different charge sheet Mumbai session court
1 year ago
Two different version chargesheet in POCSO matter, court clerk is refusing to provide certified copy of entire charge sheet and saying only we only provide xerox copies.
IO has given us 139 page non certified charge sheet but in session court 246 pages charge sheet is filed. The court clerk is refusing to provide certified copies and giving us xerox copies without any stamp on all pages of charge sheet.
What the Victim has to do in such complicated situation. Please suggest effective remedy
A.Dear Client
It is surprising that there are two sets of charge sheet which is not right. You must raise this concern in the court on the next hearing and request the judge to pass an order to provide you the complete set of papers related to chargesheet.

A.Dear client,
2 charge sheets may be filed on you in the same case. A supplementary charge sheet(second charge sheet) is only an additional material collected against the accused persons.
Charge sheet is a public document. Copy of charge sheet can be obtained from the court. In the clerical department you need to fill the form and affix the court fees. Apply on urgent basis you’ll get the copy in three days.
Please note that if you're named as an accused person in the charge sheet filed by police then you have a right to receive a copy of the charge sheet along with all relevant papers including statements of witnesses and copies of other documents annexed thereto.
It is always better to hire a lawyer in these cases.
