Limitation under consumer act

If my matter's limitation started on 10.3.20, then as per my lawyer, its limitation under consumer act ended on 10.3.22, without me getting the benefit of Supreme Court suomoto order.

The respondent last emailed to me on 10.03.2020. So, my limitation started from that date and since for consumer court matters, limitation is of 2 year period, it is supposed to have ended on 10.03.2022 (in normal circumstances). However, if we exclude the Supreme Court ordered covid period of around 2 years (15.03.2020 to 29.02.2022), then as of today (March 2023), I am supposed to STILL have around 1 MORE year of limitation. I hope I am clear now. Some lawyers say that limitation ended last year on 10.03.2022 while others say, I still have one more year left (by applying the Supreme Court order).
It depends upon various factors and your advocate might have used the judgements pronounced by Hon'ble Supreme Court regarding limitation during Covid -19 period.
