Black mail after accident

I was involved in an minor accident, my car hit a bike at very low speed and the person fell into the ground and bike was damaged a bit.fault was on both sides I took hin to the nursing home, paid for checkup and xrays. Nothing was broken.dropped him at his home,again paid for medicines.Went to his home next day and paid for meidicines. Third day he called me up and threatened me to pay 10000 showing his political connections and influence.He also told me he requires a compensation(no amount specified) as he is in a lot of pain and cannot go to work.This person is a minor member of a political party and flaunts photographs with renowend persons in his facebook account. I paid hin 10000 that day and went to a laywer,who told me not to pay anything more as he would blackmail me for ever. I stopped taking his calls. I have the receipts of 10000 and medicines paid to him. and the call recording where he was threatning me. Can this person do anything against me
