Scammed By Shopkeeper

"I bought a mic 3 days ago. First it was not working then The shopkeeper supplied battery and said it had on/off options but it actually has camera/smartphone options. It doesn't work with smartphone option(it is written in instructions that in smartphone it can work without battery) , and when I use camera option it just records with mobile mic and the shopkeeper won't help. I paid ₹440 and I just have recording of purchase but no receipt. As a student I don't know what to do."

The litigation expense would be higher than the money you have paid for the product and you do not posses the receipt either. It's better negotiate with the shopkeeper. If you are particular on litigating the matter, you can approach the consumer forum.
