Society is closing the clubhouse early
Hi team, We have a flat in outskirts of Mumbai and for people who work in town, it takes 2 hours to reach their house. Hence, I reach by 7:45pm-8pm. I have asked the society to keep the clubhouse open till 9:30 pm so that I can utilize the gym facilities. But they're not ready to do so and closing it at 8 pm. Can I do anything in this matter?
A.Dear Client,
A society runs following its Byelaws which protect the common interest of all residents of the society. Your standalone approach shall not work or be entertained here. In case you find few other residents facing a similar problem, you may jointly approach the society for an extension of time for the closure of the clubhouse and its facilities for which you pay maintenance along with other residents and deserve the same right to enjoy the facilities. Failing which you may jointly bring the matter to the notice of the Registrar of the Society under whom the society gets registration for a resolution in the matter.

A.Dear Sir,
Yes, you can either deduct some amount from your maintenance charges or get issue to resolve the said problem otherwise you may lodge a complaint with the licensing authority with whom the Society had been registered.

A.Dear client,
You can try getting a majority members of your society to push for the extension of time of the clubhouse. You can do so by approaching members individually online or offline and asking them to join you in your voice against this limited time period
