Khatha number in correct
Hi Sir,
We purchased a flat and later applied for khata transfer and I received khata on my name. When I check new khata on my name, serial number was wrong in khata number. Old owner khata, tax receipts, sale deed all has 2394 as serial number in khata number but new khata transferred on my name has 2393. I went to bbmp regarding this and they say as per their records it is correct that 2393 is serial number. They say old owners khatha is wrong hence sale deed . What can I do in this case ?
A.Dear client,
You can contact the legal heirs of the owner and execute a rectification deed to rectify the khata number. Or if they do not agree you can file a civil suit for declaration of title of the property.
