A.Dear Client,
To legally change your DOB, you must file a petition with the Court and show that the information on your existing birth certificate is erroneous. Judges are often hesitant to issue orders to change birth dates, especially if the listed birthday is less than a year. Obtain evidence that the listed date of birth is erroneous. In certain cases, hospital documents, combined with a notarized certification from a doctor or hospital administrator attesting to their legitimacy, should be enough to get a birth date(DOB) modification. The CMO of Health of the District has a database of all the hospitals in the district serving as nodal offices for all private hospitals. Submit the petition to the Executive Magistrate, together with a copy of the record officially attested by the CMOH of the District, to allow the change in DOB. In many states, the Municipal Corporation accepts a CMO-attested copy for a change of DOB on the Birth certificate.

A.Dear client,

Gather supporting documents: Collect any documents that can serve as evidence of your correct date of birth, such as school records, medical records, or other official documents that mention your correct date of birth.

Consult the Registrar of Births and Deaths: Contact the Registrar of Births and Deaths in the municipality or district where your birth was registered. Inquire about their specific requirements and procedures for correcting the date of birth on a birth certificate.

Obtain an application form: Request an application form for correction of the birth certificate. Fill out the form accurately and provide all necessary information.

Submit supporting documents: Attach the supporting documents that verify your correct date of birth along with the application form. Make sure to provide copies of the documents and keep the originals for your records.

Pay the required fees: There may be a fee associated with the correction process. Inquire about the applicable fees and submit the payment along with your application.

Follow the process: Follow any additional steps or requirements outlined by the Registrar. This may include providing additional documents or attending an interview or hearing.

Obtain the corrected birth certificate: If your application is approved, you should receive a corrected birth certificate reflecting the accurate date of birth. Make sure to keep multiple copies of the corrected certificate for future use.

Regarding your 12th board marksheet and Aadhaar card, you may need to follow separate processes to correct the date of birth on those documents. Contact the respective authorities responsible for issuing those documents (e.g., the education board for your marksheet, UIDAI for Aadhaar) to inquire about their specific procedures for correcting the date of birth.
