A.Dear Client,
when you possess a Birth Certificate issued under the Registration of Births and Deaths, Act 1969 declaring your correct name, you can apply for correction of your name in School and respective Education Board certificate and thereafter you can be able to seek for amendment/correction of name in all the statutory records like Aadhar Card, EPIC, PAN etc. Sometimes a notarized affidavit declaring that Mohammed Nazeem and NAZEEM is the same and one identical person with a newspaper ad to that effect is required by the concerned authority for the purpose of correcting the name of any person in statutory records. It is a difficult task but not impossible if you put your sincere efforts to correct your name in your SSLC or other documents.

A.Dear Client,
Changing your name on official documents like your SSLC marks card can involve a legal process, especially if you're making a change to your name that is different from what's stated on your birth certificate. Here's a general outline of the steps you might need to take in India:

Affidavit: Start by creating an affidavit stating your intent to change your name from "NAZEEM" to "Mohammed Nazeem." An affidavit is a legal document that you can draft and get notarized at a local notary's office. This affidavit will declare your intention to use the name "Mohammed Nazeem" and can be used as supporting documentation for the name change process.

Publication: After obtaining the affidavit, you typically need to publish an announcement in a local newspaper regarding your intention to change your name. This step helps ensure transparency and informs the public about your name change.

Gazette Notification: Once the newspaper publication is done, you can proceed to apply for a Gazette notification for the name change. The Gazette notification is an official government record that acknowledges the change of name. You can find the procedure for Gazette notification on the official website of the relevant State Government.

Apply for Name Change in SSLC Marks Card: With the Gazette notification and other supporting documents, approach the educational board that issued your SSLC marks card (e.g., Karnataka State Secondary Education Examination Board, if you're in Karnataka) and apply for a name change in your marks card. This process might involve submitting the Gazette notification, affidavit, and any other required documents.

Updating Other Documents: After obtaining the updated SSLC marks card, you can use it as proof of your changed name to update other official documents like an Aadhaar card, passport, PAN card, etc. Each document might have its own procedure for updating names.

It's important to note that the process might vary depending on the state you're in and the specific educational board that issued your SSLC marks card. Additionally, if you have other documents like passport, Aadhaar card, and PAN card with your previous name, you'll need to follow their respective procedures for name change as well.
Thanks
