Worked but not paid.

Dear sir,
My sister is an employee in a private hospital. Due to health issues she resigned to the job. But one month salary was outstanding i.e not yet received by us.
We already informed the same, but worth less response from employer side.
Now suggest me to have legal steps to recover the salary ?

A.Please issue them a legal notice for the same, stipulating a time limit, failing which you can file a suit for recovery of money. Also, you can approach to the nearest labour commissioner office and get help from them as well.
Hope this helped
