Spelling mistake in Fathers name in passport

Hi, in my passport my father's name has spelling mistakes. The spelling mistakes were taken from birth certificate. My father has passed away now. What do I have to do correct those mistakes? My Aadhar, voter ID, PAN all have my father's name correctly... kindly guide me.

You have to apply for a "Re-Issue" of your passport at the nearest Passport Seva Kendra. Two public documents issued from Govt of India showing your deceased father's correct name i.e, Birth certificate, PAN Card, Aadhar Card, School Leaving certificate etc. Original public documents have to be produced at the counter of PSK for verification. You can file an application for correction online as well as offline to the passport authority. To obtain a re-issued passport with the updated name, it is necessary to provide the original passport as a part of the submission process. The duration for receiving the re-issued passport with the updated name can vary from 3 to 4 weeks, based on the intricacy of the application.
