I was driving two wheeler and I have hit a three wheeler while riding. I have filed complaint against the three wheeler since he crossed the road with no proper intimation and did not responded to my horn sounds while he was crossing. I've been severely injured with bone fractures.
Will I get punished for having expired insurance ?

A.Dear Client,
Here are some general considerations:

Traffic Violation: Riding a two-wheeler without valid insurance is typically considered a traffic violation in many places. It's essential to ensure that your vehicle insurance is up to date to comply with the law.

Impact on the Accident Case: In the event of an accident, having expired insurance can complicate matters. Insurance coverage is essential for addressing medical expenses and damage to the vehicles involved. If you were injured in the accident, not having insurance may affect your ability to claim compensation for your medical expenses and injuries.

Legal Consequences: Depending on the specific laws in your jurisdiction, riding without valid insurance may lead to legal consequences, fines, or penalties. These can vary significantly from one place to another.

Liability in the Accident: The issue of liability in the accident may be determined based on the circumstances surrounding the collision. If the three-wheeler crossed the road without proper intimation and did not respond to your horn sounds, their actions may also be taken into account when determining liability.

Consult with an Attorney: Given the complexity of the situation and the potential legal consequences, it's advisable to consult with a qualified attorney who specializes in traffic accidents and personal injury cases. They can provide you with specific legal advice based on the laws in your jurisdiction and help you understand your rights and responsibilities.

Report the Accident: Ensure that you have reported the accident to the appropriate authorities, such as the police or traffic enforcement agency. They will conduct an investigation to determine the circumstances of the accident.

It's important to prioritize your health and well-being after the accident, including seeking medical treatment for your injuries.
Thank you.

A.Hi client,

The New Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act, 2019 has been updated and the rules have become extremely strict. A lot of factors will be determined as per the violations made.
If you were overspeeding and have violated traffic rules you will be liable to face the consequences. Generally fines are imposed, once you pay them the matter is disposed off.

A.Dear Client,
Driving of vehicle without valid insurance is a violation of the mandatory provision of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and the vehicle owner shall face penalty and other consequences. According to the amended Motor Vehicle Act, you are required to pay Rs 2000 and/or 3 months imprisonment if caught driving without insurance.. In case you are caught repeating this same offense, the fines are increased and you are likely to pay Rs 4000 along with 3 months imprisonment.
