A.Dear,

In Karnataka, the issuance of an E-Khata (electronic khata) is typically required for property transactions, including property registration. E-Khata is a digital version of the property ownership document that is maintained by the local municipal authority. It is used to record property ownership and tax details.

To obtain an E-Khata for a property, the following steps are generally required:

Up-to-Date Property Tax Payments: Ensure that all property tax payments are up to date. Property taxes must be paid for the property to be eligible for an E-Khata.

Submit Application: Submit an application for an E-Khata to the local municipal authority or the concerned BBMP (Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike) office, depending on the location of the property.

Verification: The municipal authority will verify the property details and ownership information. This may include a physical inspection of the property.

Payment of Fees: Pay the prescribed fees and charges for the issuance of the E-Khata.

Obtain E-Khata Certificate: Once the verification process is complete and all dues are cleared, the municipal authority will issue an E-Khata certificate for the property
