Data Entry Company asking for money and threating for legal action
6 months ago
I have recently worked for a data entry project offered by an Orissa-based company named INTERNATIONAL DIGITAL DATA ENTRY (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED (CIN Form No. U74999OR2020OPC034638). At the time of registration, I paid an amount of Rs 119 and they offered me a small single-day project of 10 pages, whose amount was Rs 2500. I followed every guideline and after 2 days, I asked whether my work is approved or not. At that time, the girl named Tanya Agrawal referred to another girl Anjali Sharma and said that she will update you about your payment and work approval. Once I communicated with her, she sent an email and mentioned that your work is rejected due to mistakes. I replied, no issue I am discontinuing my work and no need to pay the amount. Now, Anjali said pay a refundable amount of Rs 1500 and edit the work. Otherwise, the company will take a legal action against me, for which I have to pay a fine of Rs 25,000. I simply blocked their WhatsApp numbers. Am I right? What else I can do?
