Denying or not responding to give refund amount from byjus
I got a call from byjus on Oct 5 and then scheduled video call through zoom. They interviewed me to provide scholarship for ias course and I got 83% scholarship and then I paid rs.2000 an advance of rs.620000 on October 5 to hold the scholarship seat and they said which is refundable if am not intrested in that course. The very next day i told them to cancel my subscription but they insist to take the course and I cancelled the subscription on October 7 through email and call. They did cancelled but not given refund. I emailed and called them daily to refund the amount they said they will callback or email within. 24hrs till now I did not get email or call.

A.Dear Client,
From the contents of your query, it transpires that on cancellation of the subscription paid by you against the scholarship and on your repeated demand Byjus neither respond to your repeated calls nor refunded back your subscription on cancellation with an ulterior motive to kill time to make your claim for a refund barred by time. Such an unethical practice to prevent a claimant from claiming a refund of fees amounted to a deficiency in service and unfair trade practice. Since the institute is providing online service, the complaint needs to be filed online mode through e-daakhil portal ( https://edaakhil.nic.in/edaakhil/ ) following the provision of Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules and Consumer Protection(Direct Selling) Rules, 2021. It may work fast to redress the grievance, failing which you may file an offline Complaint against the online service provider Before the Dist. Consumer Court under whose jurisdiction a branch of the said Institute is in operation claiming a refund of the entire course fees you remitted to them along with compensation for harassment. The complaint should be filed within two years from the date of the cause of action, i.e, from the date of refusal to refund the course fees. Reach out to an Advocate for serving a legal notice to the Byjus and for filing a complaint against them under Consumer Protection Act before the Consumer Court claiming a refund of the entire subscription/ tuition fee, along with compensation for harassment. A complaint is required to be filed before the Consumer Court within two years from the date of the cause of action.

A.Dear Client,
If Byju's fails to respond or provide a refund, you may consider escalating the issue. In India, you can file a complaint with the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) or the respective district consumer forum.

A.Hi client,
Give few more days to them. Keep mailing them. If not responding then send a legal notice and then a consumer case.
