defamation - women started to target me

I would like to know where it went wrong, and what it made me wrong. In my village women started to target me and defame me for nothing. I usually walk a lot on my balcony, and I used to take my clients' calls talk with friends, and play with my pet outside. I don't know how it started or where it started but something went so far bad. and I'm new to this village, we constructed a house, and we had a good background and most of our family work in govt. sector. and I don't have any friends in this village because we don't go out and we don't talk. and I don't know whom to ask and whom to point a question. I just wanted to fix a cc camera so that I can find the evidence, but I need to fix it on the main road. if I fix it so far will I get any complaints regarding it? and what if they raise a point and cause me trouble? cause these things are connected with women. they may play women's cards or anything. but I'm seriously having mental trouble with their behavior.
Usually, women are always given the “benefit of doubt” in such scenarios. If a guy stalks or follows a girl/woman, without her consent, the guy would surely be behind bars, if the girl/woman complained, but in the reverse scenario, the law hardly cares. However, if you can only come up with strong evidence against the woman stalking you or following you without your consent, despite informing her, you may file the complaint with the Police, but how far they will entertain, in getting the case filed depends. Section 354D Indian Penal Code 1860 (IPC) that deals with stalking is highly biased, where it only talks about a Man stalking a Woman, but not about a Woman stalking a Man. Even the Criminal Law (Amendment) Act, 2013 is no longer gender-neutral. It says, only a man can commit the offence on a woman. So as long as such laws exist, it is difficult to prove a woman as guilty, even if she stalks a man, but the best is not to give up, and ensure strong evidence is gathered when the need to prove yourself as innocent arises.
