A.Dear Client,

In India, sharing a person's fingerprint with a third-party without their consent would likely constitute a violation of privacy rights and could potentially be illegal. However, the specific legal consequences would depend on the circumstances and the applicable laws.

The sharing of biometric information, such as fingerprints, without consent may be regulated under various laws, including the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016.

Under these laws, unauthorized sharing of biometric information could lead to penalties, fines, or even imprisonment, depending on the severity of the offense and the specific provisions of the law violated.
