Adultery is no more crime but what id someone creating scene of adultery and abusing, threatening and humiliating. I sent a legal notice to which they answered highlighting adultery points and rejected all the claims though i has proofs for everything. Infact they claim all false aligation

Adultery is legalized for women and not for men. If you lodge complaint to police they may register the case under other different provisions of Indian Penal Code for blackmailing, threatening etc.

Although adultery in itself not a crime but it could a valid ground for divorce. additionally threatening and harassment is a crime under IPC under sec 503 of IPC. The onus of proof is on the plaintiff to prove false charges
