Art and Craft class in own flat Art and Craft class in own flat

My wife was running Art &Craft class in my own flat in our apartment for the kids age group from 4-13 Years. Now our society welfare committee stopped her students from outside apartments telling security threats. Is it a illegal activity to run such class in our own flat where we are not using any common property of apartment. We have also given a written application for getting permission to apartment President.Still they are stopping outside kids to enter in apt.for classes. What should we do in this case. Plz suggest.

A.If it is a residential complex then you need to take proper permission to do any commercial activity. Thanks
