Q.Ship Medical Case
Resp. Sir/Mam,

I Capt. Swapneel P. Kulkarni was working as Captain on Govt. Owned vessel managed by private company , while working near location off Mumbai High Region, On 11th July 2017 night I had massive heart attack (I have asked for Air Evacuation - but not arranged) and then we diverted vessel to Mumbai port and on 12th July 2017 around 0400 hrs we reached Mumbai port and at 0500 hrs I was admitted to Saifee Hospital charni road (It took 6-7 Hrs to reach the port) after putting 02 nos. of stents and becoming stable Hospital discharged me on 17th July 2017.
Also I have been told that due to delay in reaching hospital my heart tissues are damaged and my heart Ejection fraction is 31-35%.

After Long communication and involvement of owners , the company paid me following:
1) All the dues till I discharged from hospital is been paid by company Seaport Shipping Thru P&I.
1) Sick Leave wages ( P/D wages x 130 Days) By P&I
2) Medical treatment for 130 Days after discharge. P&I.

After payment of this company stopped responding me,

Can you pls clarify below Points:

1) As my Ejection fraction is 31-35 % and will not be able to join back ship again, My doctor gave Medical Unfit Certificate in FEB - 2018 and same day I have given it to my Company by mail. ( I have taken written permission from company to go to my doctor as company doctor was 25 Km far from my home) what will be my disability compensation. I worked under MUI Agreement and my basic wages are 33604.00 RS.
2) For how many months I will get medical charges/ expanses, as I have been told I need to take tablets for life time (Some tablets are very costly).
3) the company harnessed me a lot during past 2 years what we can do about it .
4) Presently i have no job and no source of income.
5) Is this compensation is sufficient for my life time as i have family to look after.

Kindly Guide me in my case.

Thanking you

Capt. Swapneel P. Kulkarni
