I am going to purchase a flat of 39lakhs whereas its market value is 43lakhs. I will have to pay 20% income tax on remaining 4 lakhs later. Is there any way to save money from such tax?

At the time of purchasing the purchaser ought to have verified all the titles and public authorities issued construction permission etc thus no FIR can be registered against you, if registered you may directly go to High Court and get it quashed.

In case no Association formed or registered under the relevant Act, contents of registered Deed of Conveyance where maintenance of common areas are clarified in details and take action accordingly.
