Rights of mother on self acquired property of husband
1 year ago
My fathers self acquired property is registered now to mother. Now can mother divide property among children as will based on her preference or should it be equally divided
A.Dear Sir,
Since it is basically and originally belongs to your father as such your mother has no choice except to divide the property equally among her children and herself.

A.Your mother being the registered and sole owner of self acquired property of your father, your mother can dispose the said property as per her choice(equally or unequally) to the children either through a registered Will or Deed of Gift.
